219 Magazine is a sister publication of the award-winning NYCity News Service, a multimedia Web-based news agency based at the CUNY Graduate School of Journalism under the direction of former Daily News City Editor Jere Hester. The NYCity News Service provides the New York area with a range of local and regional news and features while at the same time providing students with a platform for publishing their work.
